Lampert Lumber is the premier provider of lumber and building materials in Ladysmith. We have proudly served contractors and residents for over a century.
The county seat of Rusk County, Ladysmith, is home to over 3,000 residents in the State of Wisconsin. The city spans over four square miles of land. We are proud to work with residents of Ladysmith every day.
Ladysmith was first founded at a railroad intersection of the St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie rail lines. The lines ran next to the Flambeau River. Many residents settled on this land because of its potential for farming and lumber. Robert Corbett was one of the first settlers in the area. He took advantage of the vast land abundant lumber supply and began the first lumber and lodging business. The business brought many residents into the growing land.
In 2002, Ladysmith encountered a fatal tornado that left most of the downtown area destroyed. Little after the hurricane began, it was raised from F0 to F3 strength. This means that the tornado rating was strong bordering on violent. The quarter of a mile wide tornado ripped through the downtown area, and in 20 minutes the town suffered over $20 million in damages. We were pleased to be given the opportunity to help many residents rebuild.
Ladysmith is home to four parks that all provide a multitude of recreational services to the residents in the city. Most parks feature:

- Designated Dog Areas
The city is also home to four nature trails that provide the city with exercise options and recreational options. Some of the trails run along miles of the river. Residents use the trail as an access point to the river or enjoy it as a walk through nature.
