Adams is located in Adams County, Wisconsin. At the time of the 2010 census, Adams had a population of 1,967. We’re proud to serve many of these residents every day. The city of Adams was founded in 1912. It was a railroad terminal on the North Western Railroad, halfway between Chicago and the Twin Cities. The railroad brought jobs to the community, and this caused the city to quickly grow. The community officially became a city in 1926.
Adams contains a few parks that its residents particularly enjoy. Their largest park, Burt Morris Park, has a picnic area and a playground for kids. They also have a baseball field and tennis courts. The park also has some beautiful nature trails. The park also has exercise stations for adults.
Adams contains a school system that includes an elementary, middle, and high school. Their high school, Adams-Friendship High School is the home of the Green Devils. Adams-Friendship High School is well known for its high achievements, which includes receiving the Spirit of Excellence award from the Wisconsin Association of School Councils.
Adams is particularly proud of its downtown. They are constantly renovating it so that it can keep the small town feel, but still meet modern standards. There are many restaurants and shops that residents enjoy visiting. They have great amenities such as a year-round farmer’s market and other specialty shops.
