NorSack Lumber

NorSask is proud to manufacture high quality lumber in different lengths up to nine feet. The types of exceptional lumber they produce are:

• White Spruce
• Balsam Fir
• Jack Pine

The process involved in producing the lumber is a kiln to dry the studs, as well as a heat treatment. This gives the lumber a long-lasting finish, making them durable and resistant to rot and insects.

NorSask’s mill is large enough to produce 160 million board feet of lumber each year. How many homes would this cover the frame for? The answer is over ten thousand homes.

NorSack And Mistik Lumber

NorSask’s trees come from the Boreal Forest and they are part owner of Mistik Management Ltd. Mistik is a woodlands management company and is committed to responsible stewardship of the trees.

NorSask exports seventy percent of their lumber throughout the United States. The rest is sold in Canada, as well as small markets in India and Asia.

Lumber Certification and Grading

NorSask lumber is regulated by Central Forest Products Association, which is accredited by the Canadian Lumber Standards.
